About RBS

RBS Autos was first established in 2012, when its founder, Bob, moved to the Island with his family and saw that there was a need for a quality mobile mechanic service.

​

Bob is a highly experienced mechanic, with nearly 30 years in the motor trade. He attended Southport College, then gained his NVQs and City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Service & Repairs at Hugh Baird.

​

His training in local, well regarded, independent garages means that he can set his hands to any job on any car, unlike many who are dealer-only trained.

Bob has a real passion for all vehicles, evidenced by his own fleet, but his ultimate specialty is working on Japanese performance cars.​

Bob's other great passion is his football, and he is a lifelong Newcastle supporter... so don't be surprised if he doesn't answer the phone straight away if his team are playing.
